Gather all of your materials first. Preheat the oven to 325°F.

Ingredients Required:

  • 1 pound of cake flour
  • Plum cake premix
  • 1 and a 1/2 pound sugar
  • 1 and a quarter tablespoons cream of tartar
  • salt (1/4 teaspoon)
  • dextrose
  • 1 teaspoon extract vanilla
  • a quarter teaspoon of almond extract
  • 1/3 cup confectioner's sugar (for the cake's top)

You can get the required ingredients from Tropilite. Here, you can also use the red velvet premix as per your choice.

Step 1:

Add the Plum Cake premix, and water. Mix in a bowl for two minutes at slow speed with a flat blade. To ensure equal mixing, scrape the bowl's sides and center. In a mixing dish, combine 1 cup cake flour and 1/2 cup sugar; set aside.

Step 2:

Continue mixing for 2 minutes at medium speed. Fruits should be added, and the mixture should be run at a slow pace for a minute. Now whisk on high speed until firm. (You can also try liquid whipping cream).

Step 3:

Slowly add the 1 1/4 teaspoon cream of tartar and 1/4 teaspoon salt, and beat for another minute. Add the remaining sugar, 1 cup at a time. After that, take the bowl out of the mixer and whisk in 1 teaspoon vanilla extract and 1/4 teaspoon almond extract. You can also look for heavy cream online.

Step 4:

Now take 1 cup of cake flour and combine it with 1/2 cup of sugar. Fill the Tube Cake Pan with batter. Smooth the top of a 10-tube pan or a bunt cake pan that hasn't been oiled. Place in the center of a preheated oven at 325°F. It will take about 50-55 minutes. When the top of the cake is well browned, remove it from the oven.

Step 5:

Turn the cooked cake upside down. Place the baked cake on a wire rack, upside down. If the cake does not unmold, loosen the edges using a spatula. Give 45-60 minutes to the cake for cooling. Sift it over the cake. Using a sifter, lightly sift the confectioner’s sugar over your cake. To make a design on the cake top, you can use a stencil or just sprinkle the confectioner’s sugar on top.

Here you go! Your cake is all set to gobble!
